Historical Context

The roots of this vision trace back to 2020, when artist, entrepreneur, and activist Ice Cube introduced his “Contract with Black America” to both presidential campaigns. While he attempted to engage with then-candidate Joe Biden and Senator Kamala Harris, his proposals were deferred until after the election—an engagement that ultimately did not materialize. It was President Trump, however, who took action. During his 2020 campaign, he embraced many of the Contract’s principles and formally integrated them into the Platinum Plan, recognizing the urgent need for systemic change, economic equity, and criminal justice reform. Now, in 2025, the Voices of Organic Black Men AGENDA builds on those foundations and offers a full-scale implementation strategy.
